Lifestyle Art

Ricarda Simon's Lifestyle Art explores themes around financial markets, digital assets, and the environment, reflecting emotions from love and passion to fraud and fear. It critiques human megalomania and resource exploitation, questioning what a truly caring world could look like.

This artwork is about financial inclusion and the power of cryptocurrency. It challenges the traditional banking system and suggests that there are alternative ways to liberate people to manage and access financial services. It is a message of hope and empowerment for the unbanked. Even something as seemingly frivolous as a meme coin (Bonk) can have a positive impact on people's lives by providing access to financial tools and opportunities that were previously unavailable to them.

The fetus symbolises new beginnings, potential and the early stages of life. It represents the idea of starting from scratch. Bitcoin symbolises the future of finance, a revolutionary technology that could disrupt traditional financial systems. Holding a bitcoin symbolises holding an opportunity, a chance to build wealth and secure a financial future. The combination of the fetus and bitcoin strongly suggests the idea of early adoption. Get in on the ground floor. The artwork is a call to action with the idea of investing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to create generational wealth. It is also a vision of the future where Bitcoin is such a fundamental part of the financial system and financial freedom that even a fetus holds it. While the artwork specifically features bitcoin, the underlying message of early adoption and investing in the future certainly applies to other promising cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is only used as a representation of the crypto world. It's a bold and provocative message that encourages people to think about the future of finance and their role in it.

"Declining Fiat" captures the tumultuous decline of traditional fiat currency, presented through a chaotic collage of obsolete coins, crumpled banknotes and worn newspaper snippets associated with the demise of fiat systems. The disarray of objects symbolises the volatility, inflation and instability inherent in the current state of global currency. Amidst the chaos, a streak of gold (physical or digital?) glows at the edge, a silent question: Is it the timeless safe haven of bullion, or the glimmer of blockchain's promise? On closer inspection, this piece is part artwork, part private hedge fund or savings account. These scattered coins aren't just relics. They're dormant value, waiting to be reclaimed when the next crisis hits. Each pasted coin whispers: 'I could be your retirement plan one day.' And the dubious gold? Not yet clear - whether the private hedge fund will be bullion stashed under mattresses or crypto keys humming in the cloud. Disclaimer: This artwork will only increase in value if the fiat system collapses.

"The Northern Lights", with their green aurora borealis over a dark blue ocean, not only reveal the beauty and awe of nature. They inspire a sense of wonder, making us feel small in the face of nature's grandeur. The lights are a natural phenomenon, a direct result of the sun's activity interacting with the Earth's atmosphere. That's why the Northern Lights connect us to something bigger than ourselves. The Northern Lights are constantly shifting and changing, representing the ever-changing nature of life, transformation and the beauty of impermanence. "Northern Lights I" is about finding moments of wonder and beauty even in the face of the unknown or in times of darkness. The vibrant Northern Lights shine against the dark ocean, suggesting that even in the deepest depths there is still light and magic to be found.

The dark ocean is the inner self and the Northern Lights are moments of clarity, inspiration or insight that illuminate the depths of our being.

If you remember the rise and fall of FTX, you will remember SBF, who maintained his innocence until he was officially proven guilty and had to go to jail. However, it's likely that he won't have to spend 25 years in prison, but will be released in the short term. The artwork immediately makes you think about guilt, innocence and the justice system as a whole, which has its own rules when a person is ultra-rich and popular. SBF may have financially ruined many ordinary people, but in the end the victims are to blame for being so naive. This artwork shows the absurdity of human society, where we can find a perpetrator-victim inversion everywhere.

It's a piece that evokes a sense of peace and tranquillity, reminding the viewer of the beauty and fragility of the natural world. The sunset symbolises the end of a day, but also the promise of a new beginning, suggesting hope for peace and harmony in the world.
